8. Transfer the UPS to Normal mode by pressing the CONTROL S button on the main
menu bar. The System Controls screen appears.
9. Press the NORMAL button on the System Controls menu bar.
The UPS transfers to Normal mode. If the power processor is not available, the
system remains on bypass and an alarm sounds.
10. Verify that the BYPASS status indicator is illuminated, indicating the UPS is
operating in Bypass mode.
11. Close the front door and secure the latch.
5.6 IAC Operation Parallel Redundant Configuration
1. Unfasten the IAC front door latch and swing the door open.
2. Verify that the IAC circuit breakers are set as follows:
IAC Module Output Breaker 1 (MOB 1)
CLOSED
IAC Module Output Breaker 2 (MOB 2)
CLOSED
IAC System Load Breaker (SLB) (if installed)
CLOSED
3. Start the UPS in Normal mode according to the Multiple Module Parallel
Operation instructions in the operation chapter of the applicable Powerware 9390
Installation and Operation manual, listed in paragraph 1.5.
4. Close the front door and secure the latch.
5.7 IAC Operation Parallel Redundant Configuration with
Maintenance Bypass
1. Unfasten the IAC front door latch and swing the door open.
2. Verify that the IAC circuit breakers are set as follows:
IAC Module Output Breaker 1 (MOB 1)
CLOSED
IAC Module Output Breaker 2 (MOB 2)
CLOSED
IAC Maintenance Bypass Switch (MBP)
OPEN
IAC Maintenance Isolation Switch (MIS)
CLOSED
3. Start the UPS in Normal mode according to the Multiple Module Parallel
Operation instructions in the operation chapter of the applicable Powerware 9390
Installation and Operation manual, listed in paragraph 1.5.
4. Close the front door and secure the latch.
5. To transfer the UPS to maintenance b ypass, see paragraph 5.5.2.
To transfer the UPS from maintenance bypass, see paragraph 5.5.3.
